pg: cuentanos acerca de la segunda venida a Colombia, ¿qué te gustó? ¿Volverán?
Beldaroh: Saludos, para nosotros cada visita a
Colombia ha sido realmente muy
satisfactoria. Aunque tuvimos algunos problemas durante nuestro segundo tour
por este país. En primer lugar, Mystifier no llegó a hacer shows con nosotros
en Colombia y esto definitivamente nos desmoralizó. En segundo lugar, las
cuidades de la región del sur de Colombia estuvieron bloqueadas por disturbios
realizados por campesinos armados. Nosotros nos vimos forzados a cancelar los
shows en Pasto y en Cali. A pesar de esto, el resto del tour estuvo tranquilo.
Estamos muy agradecidos de la respuesta de nuestros fans colombianos, ¡Siempre
podemos contar con ustedes!
Espero que para el 2020 podamos regresar
a Colombia y presentarnos en Cali y Pasto.
pg: ¿Para besatt qué bandas merecen respeto?
Beldaroh: En realidad hay muchas bandas que
admiramos y respetamos. Pero más que nada nos interesamos en bandas que desde
el comienzo hasta el final han caminado por el sendero del Black Metal
Satánico, así como: Gorgoroth o Enthroned. Me refiero a que no se pueden perder
las ideas originales. De eso se trata todo. Entiendo que la gente cambia, los
tiempos cambian, nadie regresará la gran mágia de los 90’s. Comprendo que las
nuevas tecnologías pueden brindar nuevas posibilidades a la hora de crear y
grabar música, Álbumes con mejor sonido. En el black metal, lo más importante
es el mensaje satánico y, si una banda lo mantiene después de todos estos años,
ciertamente merece nuestro respeto.
pg: ¿Podrías contarnos cómo fue el proceso de composición y grabación del álbum Anticross? ¿Con quién grabaron?
Beldaroh: El álbum Anticross fue compuesto en
nuestra sala de ensayos. Podemos llamarlo „un álbum de banda” Porque todos los
miembros participaron dentro del proceso de composición. Cada riff, batería y
sobre todo la visión del álbum es el resultado de nustro trabajo en grupo. No
tuvimos la presión del tiempo haciéndolo, así que nos tomamos el tiempo que
necesitamos, cerca de tres años o algo así. Entretanto, realizamos MCD Impia
Symphonia y nos presentamos en pocos tours importantes de los cuales debimos
tomar nuestro tiempo y prepararlo para estos. Cuando todo el material estuvo hecho,
fuimos a Białystok (capital de voivodato, Polonia) al estudio Hertz y bajo el
minucioso ojo de los hermanos Wiesławski, grabamos nuestro décimo álbum. El
proceso de grabación terminó sin contratiempos porque estábamos totalemtne
preparaods para esto, también era nuestra cuarta visita al estudio así que nos
sentimos muy cómodos. Nos tomó cerca de dos semanas terminarlo.
pg: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre Anticross y los otros álbumes?
Beldaroh: Desde el puro comienzo Besatt es considerado como un
banda de Black metal Satánico. Así que respecto a esto, nada ha cambiado.
Aunque nustros tres últimos álbumes ( Demonicon, Apocalypsis y Nine sins)
fueron más técnicos y brutales y, esta vez hemos decidido regresar a los
sonidos atmosféricos y místicos. Puedo decir que hemos regresado a la clase de
música „tormentosa e infernal” Creo que este proceso dio buenos frutos para
nosotros porque Anticross es uno de mis álbumes favoritos en la historia de
Besatt.
pg: ¿Estan planeando un set-list diferente para cada concierto, o hay una única lista para todos los tours? Teniendo en cuenta que nos gustaría escuchar algunas canciones nuevamente.
Beldaroh: Usualmente tenemos un set-list el cual
cambiamos un poco hace unos meses. Pero tenemos algunas canciones que son
permanentes en nuestro set-list porque no imaginamos un show sin ellas. Este
año se cumplirán 20 años de la grabación de nuestro segundo, y muy importante
álbum para nosotros, Hail Lucifer. En esta ocasión decidimos reordenar un poco
nuestro set-list. Al final de nuestro show, tocaremos tres canciones del álbum
Hail Lucifer con la aparición de nuestro invitado, nuestro ex vocalista
Fulmineus.
pg: Nos gustaría saber acerca de su banda o punto de vista personal sobre el satanismo, y si les motiva o no para tocar Black Metal.
Beldaroh: Para mí, el satanismo es una fuerza de
la cual extraigo lo que es mejor para mí y para fortalecer mi ego. Es como una
fuerza natural que me ayuda en la vida a satisfacer mu necesidades
antinaturales. Gracias a mi visión del mundo, igual que a satán, puedo „abrir
puertas” y llegar a lugares a los que ningún mortal ordinario nunca ha
experimentado, Puedo usar la vida a puñados sin temor al casitgo o condenación
después de la muerte.
Satán es también un símbolo de oposición
a la cristiandad, el cual considero para ser un gran hereje y manchar el honor
de la humanidad. La cristiandad mata los instintos de la gente, a su propio
„yo” y los hace esclavos de sus propias vidas. El satanismo está basado en
satisfacer los instintos.
De este modo lo veo, sé que el resto de
besatt también tiene su visión satánica, pero no olvidemos que ésta es la mía
sobre el satanismo. Satán y todas sus conexiones con la ideología es una mina
de ideas y motivaciones para crear sonidos infernales, los cuales hemos estado
haciendo durante años y, espero seguiremos haciendo en los que están por venir.
pg: Últimamente en América-Latina nos hemos enfrentado a algunos problemas relacionados a la censura, como en el caso de Marduk. ¿Qué piensan al respecto? Teniendo en cuenta que ustedes también son precursore del Black Metal.
Beldaroh: Debo decir que ustedes no están solos,
en cuanto a los problemas de censura del Black Metal. Aquí en Europa y en
Polonia también aparecen estos problemas con mucha frecuencia. En el 2018
Marduk fue víctima e políticas cristianas y no pudo realizar un concierto. Se
sabe, nuestra música tal vez es muy controversial para algunas personas. En
nuestro país nos sentimos muy incómodos con nuestro modo de ver el mundo, ya
que es una sociedad cristiana y, a menudo, nos encontramos con obstáculos en
nuestro camino. Pero nos mantenemos fuertes con nuestras acciones y nunca nos
rendiremos. Los padres del Black Metal pueden ser llamados Venom, Celtic frost,
Bathory. Nosotros, así como otras bandas de nuestro estilo somo solo sucesores
que llevamos esta luciferina luz...
pg: ¿Cómo es la relación entre los miembros de Besatt? ¿Será una line-up estable?
Beldaroh: Durante estos veintitantos años, Besatt
tuvo, a menudo, diferentes cambios en su alineación pero en los últimos siete
años la alineación se ha mantenido estable y nos hemos acostumbrado el uno al
otro. Por supuesto, diferentes pensamientos
traen consigo diferentes opiniones que generan discordias y disputas, pero
siempre buscamos compromiso. Juntos hemos recorrido buenos caminos que nos
permitieron conocernos mejor el uno al otro. Espero que sigamos trabajando con
esta alineación por algunos años más, pero por ahora debemos trabajar en el
próximo álbum.
pg: ¿Alguna gira planeada para 2019?
Beldaroh: En este momento estamos trabajando
fuertemente para nuestra gira en Asia. Será en algún lugar para la primera
mitad del año 2019 y es todo. No hay más detalles. Para mí es muy inusual
porque ya en enero no tenemos mucho tiempo pero seguro así es el modo en que
trabajan los asiáticos así que debemos esperar.
En diciembre de 2019 después de cinco
años de ausencia, regresaremos a brasil. Tenemos planes para un mini tour por
escandinavia (Finlandia y Suecia) y algunos otros conciertos individuales por
el resto de Europa. Comenzando en enero en Polonia, después en república checa,
Hungría y los países bajos. Así que este será un año muy ocupado para nosotros.
pg: ¿Qué te gustó de Colombia, alguna anécdota interesante o divertida?
Beldaroh: Estoy deleitado con Colombia hasta el
punto que quiero regresar tan pronto como sea posible. Me gusta bastante su
arquitectura colonial, los montañosos paisajes y toda la gente, son muy abiertos
y al mismo tiempo locos por el metal.
Anécdotas interesantes tuvimos muchas
pero no es apropiado revelarlas todas. Recuerdo un momento en Bogotá en el que
juntos con miembros de la banda mexicana „inferna” bebimos y en ese momento se disputaba el partido Polonia vs México. Esa fue una buena fiesta y una
experiencia interesante. Además, recuerdo mucho los cuatro días que pasamos en Medellín. Vivimos y dormimos con Angelo de la banda „Murmur” pasamos tiempo con él y su familia (esposa,
madre e hijos) fue un buen momento porque pudimos experimentar cómo vive una
familia normal en Colombia. Desayunamos juntos, cenamos y paseamos por la
ciudad, etc... el último día, cocinamos una cena polaca para Angelo y su
familia. Fue un buen escape para nosotros en ese recorrido.
pg: ¿Conoces alguna banda colombiana de Black Metal? ¿Cuál?
Beldaroh: Por supuesto hay muchas bandas
colombianas que conocemos, no pedo recordarlas todas ahora, pero les envío
saludos a Utuk-xul quienes se presentaron con nosotros en Polonia el año
pasado. Nebiros, Esbbat, Pherethron, Murmur, Skullthrone, Infernal... también
conozco a Thy antichrist e Inquisition pero para mí, son más bandas americanas
que colombianas.
pg: ¿Te gustó Boyacá, Colombia? ¿Por qué?
Beldaroh: Nos presentamos en Tunja, una ciudad muy hermosa. Nos
gustó mucho, especialmente los alrededores y los paisajes. Lo poco que sé es
que es una región histórica de colombia y espero que regresemos allí.

PG: First of all, greetings from PanzerGoat666 to
Blackthorn,who cordially will answer some questions about the bestial horde
Thornspawn.
BT:
Darkest
blessings to you and the supporters of PanzerGoat666 zine and to all those that
read these words of hatred and intolerance.
PG: So, how are you blackthorn?
PG: What can you tell us about the album "blood of
the holy, taint thy steel"? Knowing that it's your band's first
full-length.
BT:
To be
perfectly honest it was at the time an album that I adored thoroughly. It was
my freshman release and of course it will always remain very close to me. But
at this point in time I have no care over the past. I focus solely on the
future and my conquest. The past is not alive, it is dead and rotting.
PG: Are your lyrics based in some special topics? Which
ones? And what is the message that you try to spread with thornspawn?
BT:
Anti-Religion,
the union and deep significance between beast & man, which is one of the
other. IF there would be a message that
would come from my lyrical manifestations it would be complete and utter intolerance.
And above all to crush your enemies and trust no one but yourself.
PG: How was the experience that you lived here in
Colombia with Thornspawn?
BT:
I never
lived in Colombia my friend. I did 2 tours, 2 different years. The first one
was a great experience in meeting so many fans and die hards! It was a great
experience indeed. The organization of the one who handled all the tour, was a
fuckin joke. Then 2nd time around was also a great experience as far
as meeting once again old friends and new fans. We had such a great time with
every dark soul that attended.
PG: Could you tell us, when you decided to play the drums
and at the same time being the voice of Thornspawn, it was something difficult?
BT:
When the
band started I was to be on bass and vocals. After not finding a drummer, I
moved to drums so the band could continue. We found a vocalist and released our
first demo, but soon after he moved and then killed himself. So I was left
having to do both drums and vocals. It has never been easy, I cannot say that
there is a preparation or technique that I have studied or invented. Of course
it is difficult but it is fueled by the dark void…..we are one.
PG: How is the actual relation between the past members
of Thornspawn and you?
BT:
There is
none, there never was one. I have no clue what has become of them, nor do I
care.
PG: Can you tell us how had you the idea of the festival
"Sacrifice of the Nazarene Child", and why did you leave it?
BT:
The
festival I created was a very personal gathering. Bands that were invited to
perform were bands that I greatly respected and wished to gather them for one
night of Satanic Terror. With no help from anyone and I being fully in control
of this fest from day one. It became a great task year after year. A few years
I lost thousands of dollars from my own money to pay the bands that came so
far. I didn’t cry and bitch that the turnout was terrible or lacked support. I
took the hit and put my money where my mouth was. These days’ promoters cry and
bitch about turn outs and fuck the bands by not paying them or some bullshit.
In the end I stopped the fest because it had lost its purpose, there were other
fests being set up. And it became not that special gathering of dark souls, it
became a trend. I wanted nothing of that “scene”….
PG: We know that Maledictvs is practically Hella, but
what can you tell us about hella's participation and also yours in that band?
BT:
Hella to
the day is the only person that I have full trust in assisting me with
Thornspawn. Where others failed in dedication and sacrifice she showed me that
she was up for the blood spill. She has assisted me in writing material for
some splits we have done in the past. On this new album she will have control
of compositions and intro/outro arrangements. I have full trust in her work
& art, that I would only consider her opinion in this upcoming release and
no other.
PG: Please, tell us something about wrath of war
re-edition and why do you want to include a video?
BT:
The
“Wrath of War” re-release was not something I was actually planning on doing.
But after many supporters/fans kept asked me I decided to re-release it. Yet
this time with some type of bonus footage. Which the reason why included a live
video of a show we did at my fest before releasing this album. As well as the
original art I was not to thrilled with all these years. I decided to
re-release it with the proper art it deserved.
PG: Which bands do you know from Colombia? Do you know
bands that not are from Cali, Bogotá, Pasto or Medellin?And which ones have
your admiration in the black metal circle?
BT:
No I do
not. These are some of the bands I have either met or support their hate:
Esbbat, Pheretron, Anti ChristKommand, UtukXul, Satanic True, Thy Endless
Wrath, are some bands I support to the death.
PG: What do you think is the difference between the
American black metal and European black metal?
BT:
There is
not much difference really. I think we all come from the same Hell that invokes
the abysmal spirit. We are all united brethren of fire…..eternal.
PG: We would to know, which bands have your respect in
your country and also around the world?
BT:
In USA I
support Oakmoon, Recluse, Antebellum 666, FIN,
Bestial Slaughter, Horrendus, Embalmed, Blood Incantation, Weregoat,
Bestial Karnage, Demoncy and a few others. Around the world there are too many
to name but I will say some: Pestnebel, Beyond, Kawir, Goatvomit, NaerMataron,
Chaos Baphomet, AIMA, Azazel, Mefitic, Morbid Upheaval, Sick Rites, Black Ceremonial Kult, Communion,
Wargrinder, Spear of Longinus, Destruktor, Vomitor and the list goes for
eternity.
PG: What could you said about your band to someone who
has never heard to Thornspawn?
BT:
Death,
Incarnate... with an attack of sonic torment.
PG: Do you have plans to produce a new full-length with Thornspawn?
BT:
“Coronation
of the Supreme Beast” shall be released 2016/2017. I am focusing all my time
and energy on this release and you will understand why when it is unleashed. It
is a very personal album for me. With no one in command but me, nor the prying
eyes of those that could never understand.
PG: Who is the in-charge of cds' and t-shirts'
distribution? Have you a person who does it? Or maybe, Do you have to do all
this work? Could you tell us something more about that process?
BT:
I handle
everything and all involving Thornspawn. Why hire someone to do this when you
can do it so much better. And give the attention necessary to your
fans/supporters. You acquire information about anything involving Thornspawn,
contact me direct. And only me.
PG: How was the experience of sharing a split with
Istidraj? Who was the in-charge of mixing and mastering process? Are you
satisfied with the production of that split?
BT:
We had
planned this split for ages, but due to line up problems on both ends it didn’t
happen. Now the end result is a most admirable and honorable one. The end
result was satisfactory, of course there are always things you could have
changed. But it is times to let the chaos take control and let it breathe its
own fire.
PG: Do you think that Thornspawn has taken a different
way in terms of lyrics and composition?
BT:
Possibly
yes, for the better. More study, knowledge, travel has only inspired me. The composition without question has changed
for the best. More savage and bestial.
PG: Ok blackthorn, it’s all. Thanks for your time. Do you

BT:

Greetings to Freddy Terrorizer and also to Bobby (Whipstriker) we are glad due at your interest in this interview. So, let’s begin.
PG What do you know about metal scene from Colombia?
FT: Hello, definitely our favorite would be Shakira! Haha, I personally only
know a few bands from Colombia but we have actually shared the stage with
Witchtrap three times, twice in Houston, TX and once in Los Angeles, CA. We
have also shared the stage with Masacre in Houston TX all super cool guys.
BW: We’ve also shared the stage with Thy Antichrist. I
can’t say I know a lot about the metal scene in Colombia, but would love to
learn. I know Juanes used to be in a thrash band before haha.
PG: What could you tell us about the black metal
scene from U.S.A?
FT:
Black metal can go a long way in extremity and weakness because so much
bullshit has been fused into the genre, but we have some great bands in the
U.S. in El Paso TX we have bands like Satanik Goat Ritual, Obeisance, and
Nyogthaeblisz, also we have our other buddies like Maledict in California or
like Sacrocurse in Houston. There’s more but true acts now days are very
limited.
BW: I agree with Freddy. I’m sure you guys are well aware
of the US black metal scene if you are already familiar with Terrorist.
PG: Where the idea of “terrorist” comes? And what is the
message that you want to spread with it?
FT: The idea of Terrorist came while I was a teenager in
high school, the 9/11 twin towers attack was still pretty fresh. Although I was
pissed that our country had been attacked I figured a name like Terrorist would
bring fear and could only be a raw speed type of deal. The message behind it is
to be aggressive and release frustration and set a nuclear warhead off in every
person’s head who listens.
BW: Onward Destroyer!!!
PG: Do you think that “terrorist” have had a change
in its ideology due at the change of member? Why?
FT: No, not really we all pretty much have the same ideas
I myself have just decided to throw in different ideas into the second record
just because sometimes I feel like writing about death.
BW: Regardless to member changes Terrorist is still in the
same page and continues to be fierce and aggressive!
PG: Freddy Terrorizer, what is the meaning of Lucifer for
the band and also in the context of your songs?
FT: The meaning is how our listener takes it. We are at
Lucifer's behest. Once Terrorist hits the stage, the war begins!!! All evil is
unleashed so be prepared to be blessed by the beast! Enough said!
PG: Have you ever been banned in your country?
FT: Actually one time they did not want us to play a show in Salt Lake City, Utah because of the first song off of our second album Sadistic Necrophile. Some people started protesting online that the song was degrading to women and in reality the lyrics do not mention whether the corpse being desecrated is a woman or man so we showed up, said fuck you and still played!!!
BW: That’s definitely not the only time Terrorist has had
issues pissing people off!
PG: How have been the evolution of terrorist since its
foundation, and what have been terrorist’s biggest achievements?
FT: Really when we started we weren't too good at our
instruments, so when we started this band it was based on pure aggression! Of
course we have gotten better through the years and we write music that we like
so if you like it good, if not well fuck you too!!! I would say our biggest
accomplishments would be getting released, and we have opened for some bigger
acts but keeping the beast (Terrorist) alive through all these years with my
comrades Edgar MorbidFeast and Bobby (Whipstriker) Podrido that have been helping
me through the last few years. There's nothing more gratifying than that and of
course all our fans around the world and those who come out to our shows, we
are truly thankful.
BW: Terrorist evolves as we ourselves evolve. I’d say
keeping Terrorist going for a decade already is a pretty big achievement even
through our own obstacles in life. The beast stays alive though thick and thin!
PG: What are the principal differences between “bless by
the beast” and “then life was death”?
FT: Blessed by the beast is pretty self-explanatory it’s
very primitive, bestial and evil, and A.T.L.W.D as well is evil only with a bit
of a twist with necrophilia and death.
PG: It seems that horror movies have been part of
your last full-length, what kind of inspiration have they provided for its
composition?
FT: Well I'm a huge horror movie fan and collector as well
as Whipstriker. Edgar MorbidFeast will usually join us for a night of
horror/metal devastation with a nice bottle of whiskey!!!! The kind of
inspiration to the band? I believe horror and metal go hand in hand. I guess
sometimes when writing riffs I tell these guys "that sounds like some
asshole is ripping through someone with a chainsaw" or I envision
something like "that sounds like the entrance to Lucifer's lair" or
some shit like that! I'm just making some random ones up because I can't
think of a riff off the top of my head. That's kind of like our seal of
approval.
BW: Horror Movies provide visuals, which we sometimes try
to recreate with our instruments. Think of us writing music asking
ourselves, how can we recreate the feel of let’s say the scene in Re-Animator.
Where Herbert West Decapitates Dr. Hans Gruber with a Shovel. Next thing you
know a solid song surfaces just from an idea of a visual. There is no doubt
that Horror movies inspire us as much as we enjoy watching them!!!
PG: Who writes the lyrics? And what is the ideology behind
“terrorist” and its songs?
FT: I am the one who writes all lyrics. The ideology
behind Terrorist, although people may think it's something political, is to
preach our evil sermons and destroy the lie that is Christianity! As well as
speak about something that is certain in life. Which is death! And throw in the
horror aspect of it with dismemberment and whatever else comes through my mind.
BW: Freddy is pretty quick to come up with some great
sickening lyrics!

PG: How the composition process is? And which bands
have you had as inspiration?
FT: The composition process is really writing one riff and
finding another one that fits after it, once that is done the rest is a piece
of cake cause now we can start molding that song into what we want it to sound.
In the beginning, it was bands like Sodom, Bathory, Kreator, Destruction, and
South American metal such as Mutilator, Sarcofago, Vulcano, Witchtrap, Anal
Vomit!!! Now it's a range of bands like Nifelheim, Necrophobic, Mortem,
Nocturnal Graves. We also listen to the classics, 70s metal!!! Lucifer's
Friend, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Motorhead and well the heaviest stuff from
that era.
BW: The composition process is fairly fast, we work as
fast as our tempo. The classic 70’s heavy metal does speaks louder than
some of today’s music. We tend to have a broad range of bands we gather
inspiration from, but it’s not just bands or music it can come from anything
really!
PG: There is information running through internet about
“terrorist”. It is about that you are finishing your third album, could
you tell us if this is true? And if is it true, could you tell us some details?
FT: Yes the third album is finished, we are in the process
of sending it out to a few labels and see who picks it up, we have a few labels
interested already. We want to look around first and see who offers us the best
deal. We hope to get this out to all our fans as soon as possible. Hopefully by
this year!!!!
BW: We can't wait for you all to hear “Prey To The Devil”
Hopefully we get it on LP/CD/MC soon for all you collection fiends!!!!

PG: Who had the idea of the
Split with “NekrochaKal” and how was that process?
FT: They contacted us about doing a split with them on a
7" and they said they had a label and art for it ready, so we agreed and
recorded two songs. These are Beyond Mutilation and The Flagellator. These
tracks are unique recordings which came out great! Necrochakal are a killer
horde from Greece! Some great bands out there in Greece as well! We ended up
selling out of our copies in the U.S. but you might be able to get a copy
online. Unfortunately shipping is ridiculous anywhere internationally!!!
Hopefully you can find it locally!
PG: What are you planning for the rest of this year?
FT: We have actually been moving fast this year and have a
couple of new songs done so we're gonna maybe write another full length or an
EP and plan for a tour next year or later this year when our third album “Prey
To The Devil” gets released.
PG: When will you be here in Colombia?
FT: Unfortunately we don't know any promoters in Colombia,
but we would love to do a tour in your country and explore your culture and try
your many foods(we've heard great things from the Witchtrap / Masacre horde)
but I guess we'll leave that to our Colombian fans and those who read this! Get
in contact with us with some promoters and we will make it happen!
BW: We would love to tour Colombia and meet existing fans
as well as gain new ones. I’ve always been curious to try your jugo de tomate,
I’ve heard it’s a sweet drink. Only one way to find out, take us to Colombia!!!
PG: And finally, we thank you again for your time; do you

FT: Thanks for your support and we do hope to one day be

SLAUGHTBBATH: Nueva entrevista realizada con Daniel Corcuera "Desecrator" voz de slaughtbbath.

que nada, saludos a todo Slaughtbbath, para nosotros es un honor tener esta
entrevista. Gracias a Daniel Desecrator, por atendernos, así que comencemos…

¿Qué depara lo que queda de 2016 y comienzos de 2017 para
Slaughtbbath? hemos visto que este año han compartido escenario con bandas como
Destroyer666 y Pentagram, cuéntenos ¿qué tienen pensando o ya planeado para la
banda?
DD
-Por ahora sólo tenemos agendada una presentación junto a
Archgoat en un par de semanas más. Después de esto queremos dejar de tocar en
vivo por un tiempo ya que estamos trabajando en un nuevo album y nuestro
baterista se encuentra ocupado tocando con Ammit en la gira que harán durante
Agosto y Septiembre.

Se aproxima este 18 de Agosto Archgoat en Chile,
quisiéramos saber ¿cuál es la expectativa por parte de Slaughtbbath en compartir
escenario con esta brutal banda?

¿Cómo
se mueve la escena del Black metal en Chile y qué sabe de la escena de
Colombia?
DD
-La verdad me tiene sin cuidado cómo se mueva la escena
Black Metal aquí o en cualquier parte. Nosotros vamos haciendo lo nuestro de
frente sin mirar para los lados. De la escena Colombiana conozco las bandas
clásicas y algunas más actuales. Lo ajeno a la música me importa una mierda.

¿Cómo ve la escena del Black metal a nivel general
actualmente?
DD
-Con algunas bandas que me gustan, otras
varias que no me gustan y muchísimas Lacras opinando sobre todo y haciendo nada
como aporte.

¿Qué
bandas merecen tu admiración y respecto en este momento?
DD
Respeto a todas las bandas que no copian y
trabajan de forma seria y honesta. De la actualidad me gustan varias aunque
escucho mucho más material viejo.

¿Sabemos
que el 12 de agosto se lanza un Split con Grave Desecrator, podria contarnos
acerca de como fue el proceso y la experiencia de compartir con esta banda?
DD
-Nada del otro mundo. Siempre es un agrado compartir una
producción con bandas que respetamos y de las que gustamos su música. En lo
personal mantengo contacto con Élson desde hace mucho tiempo y diseñé un
símbolo para Grave Desecrator hace varios años atrás, antes de que sacaran su
primer álbum si no me equivoco. Tocamos con ellos cuando vinieron a Chile en el
2011 y luego volví a compartir escenario con ellos cuando estuve tocando en
Communion e hicimos algunas fechas en Brasil, así que como se ha formado un buen
lazo de amistad con ellos a lo largo de los años, el proyecto del split surgió
en algún momento y simplemente se hizo.

Yéndonos
un poco más a lo personal, quisiéramos saber, ¿desde qué edad dibuja? ¿Ha
tenido alguna educación artística? y que tiene en mente para plasmar cada
ilustración o dibujo, ya que hemos visto que las ilustraciones de Desecrator se
han dado a conocer por casi todo el mundo.
DD
-Estoy dibujando desde muy pequeño, desde que tengo
memoria básicamente. Soy autodidacta. Intento siempre tener en mente el
superarme; hacer algo mejor que la vez pasada, no copiarle a otros artistas,
probar técnicas distintas. Si trabajo en un encargo para alguna banda entonces
obviamente también intento tener en mente el concepto o idea que ellos me
entreguen y sus demandas, si me parecen pertinentes.

¿Existe una relación directa entre la temática del arte
visual que plasma en las ilustraciones de la banda y la temática de las líricas? y ¿qué tipo de idea o ideas principalmente intenta difundir con ese
arte visual?
DD
-Supongo que sí, la idea es que todo vaya de la mano. No
intento difundir ninguna idea o mensaje, no hay propaganda de ningún tipo. Se
trata más bien expresar o describir conceptos, emociones, actos, etc. La
temática principal es siempre oscura, bélica, odiosa, blasfema, satánica,
mortuoria y apocalíptica.

¿Qué
otros artistas, dentro del campo de la ilustración, merecen tu respeto actualmente?
Al
igual que en la música, respeto a cualquier artista que no copie y busque la
fama y sólo se enfoque en trabajar de forma seria y honesta.
Ideo-lógicamente hablando, ¿usted apoya o se cree participe
de algún tipo de corriente ya sea el satanismo moderno, el satanismo teísta, el
ateísmo, o el ocultismo?
DD
-No, ni yo ni nadie en la banda pertenece a ningún
movimiento, corriente ideológica, religión o partido político. En lo personal
sólo apoyo y tomo lo que me parezca justo y nada más.

¿Ha habido algún cambio de dirección importante en la
ideología de la banda a lo largo del tiempo desde que fue creada, tanto en el
campo lirico como en el de la composición?
DD
-Han habido algunos cambios de integrantes al comienzo pero
ya llevamos más de 10 años con la misma alineación. En un comienzo también todo
el proceso de componer la música caía sólo en nuestro guitarrista y yo sólo
escribía las letras. Por lo demás, creo que todos los cambios que hemos tenido
como banda van ligados sólo a mejorar el mismo concepto que hemos tenido desde
un comienzo, ya sea musical, visual o lírico, como también en el aspecto de
presentarnos en vivo.

¿Cómo es el proceso de composición por parte de la banda, cuál
es su inspiración a la hora de hacerlo?
DD
-Nada fuera de lo común. No tenemos una fórmula específica.
Lo principal para nosotros es crear canciones que nos gustaría escuchar.
Inspiración es el material antiguo de Kreator, Slayer, Sarcófago, Sodom, Bathory,
Darkthrone, Mayhem, Samael, Celtic Frost, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, etc. Por lo
general yo y el guitarrista creamos riffs en solitario que luego vamos armando
y puliendo en la sala de ensayo junto al baterista y una vez con algo más
armado vamos definiendo arreglos como solos, quiebres, etc. así como calzar
bien las letras. Éstas casi siempre están escritas desde antes y las adapto a
una canción a la que siento que le vienen bien.

¿Crees
que en Chile o los países donde ha ido a tocar la banda realmente se apoya el
género, ya sea por parte de seguidores, patrocinadores, etc?
DD
De
forma underground y poco masiva, claro que sí existe apoyo y creo que bastante;
seríamos una mierda si dijéramos lo contrario, conocemos a mucha gente que
apoya y ha apoyado a nuestra banda y muchas otras. Hay mucha gente dedicada y
apasionada respecto al Metal haciendo cosas y creo que si existen personas
incapaces de verlo y sólo dedicarse a opinar mierda es porque en realidad
necesitan salir un poco más de sus burbujas narcisistas, abrir los ojos y
reflexionar antes de hablar.

¿Cómo
opinión personal, cual crees que es la diferencia entre el metal suramericano
al metal europeo?
DD
Yo
creo que en Europa existen mucho menos prejuicios y reglas dentro del Metal.
Sudamérica es más conservador y tradicionalista.

¿Cómo
fue la experiencia de haber tocado en Europa y quien los apoyo con los gastos
allá?
DD
-Fue
una gran experiencia. Estuvimos tocando 3 semanas seguidas y conocimos gran
parte de Europa; muchos países, gente, metal, locura, alcohol... tuvimos la
oportunidad de conocer y compartir escenario con excelentes bandas como Obliteration,
Evil Spirit, Dead Congregation, Deströyer 666, Darkened Nocurn Slaughtercult, Baphomet's
Blood, incluso con nuestros amigos compatriotas Atomic Aggressor y Diabolical
Messiah en Italia, etc. así como nuestros compañeros de gira Turbocharged y
Violentor. Todo esto fue una gira completamente underground, nada de glamour o
comodidades como algunos idiotas piensan. El tour completo se hizo en una
van con la capacidad justa para las 3
bandas que lo componían, sin chóferes o roadies, todos los días se viajaban a
veces 10 o 20 horas para descargar todo el backline, instalar baterías y stand
con material para luego tocar, desarmar todo y volver a viajar. Los gastos de
vuelos a Europa fueron costeados por nosotros y la gira se solventó sola por
las ventas de entradas y material. Con voluntad y dedicación se consiguen más
cosas que con opiniones y pereza.

seguidores de la banda acá en Colombia?
DD
-Tenemos muchas ganas de ir a tocar a Colombia y esperamos
hacerlo pronto. Gracias por la entrevista y el apoyo a la banda.
